Modern Knife Retail Space in Shibuya

The renewed Shibuya Center-Gai store introduces a retail space combining warm wood, stone textures, and modern metal elements.

TOKYO, JAPAN, August 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- TAIMATSU Inc. (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Wang Weihan; hereinafter “TAIMATSU”), the company behind the Japanese kitchen knife brand MUSASHI JAPAN, held the grand opening of MUSASHI JAPAN Shibuya Center-Gai Store in Shibuya Center-Gai, Tokyo, in 2026.

The store originally opened in advance in 2025. Since then, TAIMATSU has continued to refine the retail space through store operations. With the completion of the interior design, the location has now officially opened as MUSASHI JAPAN Shibuya Center-Gai Store.

A Retail Space Combining Warmth and Substantial Material Texture

The renewed interior introduces a design based on modern metal and stone materials. By combining the warmth of wood with substantial material textures, the store creates a retail environment with greater depth and presence. The interaction between these materials gives the space a distinct visual identity within the MUSASHI JAPAN brand.

The sales floor layout has also been revised to create a more spacious environment. Customers can now take more time to compare products and select a Japanese kitchen knife suited to their needs. The store is designed not only as a place of purchase, but also as a space where customers can engage more closely with the appeal of Japanese kitchen knives.

MUSASHI JAPAN Shibuya Center-Gai Store will serve as a customer-facing location for presenting the brand’s identity in one of Tokyo’s most active commercial areas. Centered on Japanese kitchen knives, the store aims to reinterpret Japanese traditional techniques and aesthetics in a contemporary retail environment.

Through this location, TAIMATSU plans to further develop the MUSASHI JAPAN brand experience and explore new forms of cultural expression through Japanese craftsmanship.
