US attacks alleged narco-trafficking vessel in Eastern Pacific Ocean

(MENAFN) The US carried out a military strike on a vessel involved in alleged narco-trafficking in the Eastern Pacific Ocean on Monday, the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) announced.

According to SOUTHCOM, the operation was directed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and took place in international waters. Intelligence indicated that the vessel was traveling along known narcotics trafficking routes and actively engaged in illegal operations.

The strike resulted in the deaths of two individuals identified as narco-terrorists. No US military personnel were harmed during the operation.
